Steps to Create R-Wallet Account

To create an R-Wallet account, we must first create an account on the IRCTC website. Once we have created an account, we can log in and click on the “IRCTC e-wallet” option on the home page to create our R-Wallet account.

  • Visit the IRCTC website at www.irctc.co.in and log in to your account.
  • Click on the “IRCTC e-wallet” option under the “IRCTC Tourism” section on the homepage.
  • Click on the “Register” button to create a new e-wallet account.
  • Fill in your personal details like name, email address, mobile number, and address.
  • Create a password for your e-wallet account and select a security question.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions and click on the “Submit” button.

  • Step 1 – Click on the R-wallet icon on UTS APP
  • Step 2 – Click on Recharge Wallet
  • Step 3 – Enter the amount you to want to recharge
  • Step 4 – Make payment using UPI, net banking, credit card or debit card.
  • Step 5 – Complete the process and money gets added to your R-Wallet.

  • No. R-wallet balance is non-transferable. You can either surrender the R-Wallet or you may exhaust the balance by purchasing tickets.

How to surrender R-Wallet?

You can surrender your R-Wallet by the following steps:

  • Use option “Profile” to see the Surrender Wallet (SW) option and confirm to “Surrender Wallet”. A code will be generated. Thereafter, you shall approach any UTS counter and provide your register mobile no. as well as the code generated for refund. The balance in the R-Wallet will be refunded to you, after deducting the clerkage charge of Rs.15/-
