Western Railway announced an exclusive tie up with urban technology firm on the occasion of World Toilet Day, Gaia to provide smart feedback system to track and monitor the cleanliness of toilets across 17 stations of Mumbai Division. It includes smart feedback of users about toilet services. Following are the details.

These 17 Stations of Mumbai Division are Churchgate, Marine lines, Charni Road, Grant Road, Lower Parel, Eliphinstone Road, Dadar, Matunga Road, Mahim, Bandra, Goregaon, Andheri, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar Bhayander and Nallasopara. The Pay and Use toilets of these stations have been either recently constructed or renovated with ultra-modern infrastructure and amenities. 

Smart Feedback System for cleanliness of toilets has easy to use interface. Users have to scan the QR code, provided in front of these toilets and answer questions regarding upkeep of toilet, behaviour of attendant etc to help Western Railway for assessing cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

This Feedback system will enable Mumbai Division, Western Railway to monitor facilities and sanitation levels at public toilets across the Stations. Through this simple, intuitive and easy to use interface, commuters can rate service levels and Railways can hold their third-party service providers accountable. This innovative step will be effective to measure, monitor, track, analyse and report performance of about cleanliness level of sanitation facility available at station and satisfaction level of users. 

This simple solution allows Railway to monitor outlook of commuters to improve impact. This will further leverage for ongoing mapping of trends, performance patterns, challenges and predictive analytics to provide rapid response and systemic improvement.
