  1. In New Delhi Railway Station from platform number 1 to number 16 they asked me rupees 2000 for three trolley bags and two gunny bags. I couldn’t believe my ears! Even my luggage were not worth that amount!! The rate list should be pasted everywhere in the station..

  2. There are only two uses of this info-
    1) If you see this info before bargaining with the porter- Then you try to minimise the amount of which you are being cheated.
    2) If you see this info after bargaining with the porter- Then you can calculate the amount of which you have been cheated
Really Incredible India & incredible Indian Railways.
By the way mine was the second case.

  3. Porters are charging high than what has been fixed by the Railway. When one is complaint about there higher charges, station master denies having complaint register. There is no norms or system of complaint with station master at railway station. Is there any system with railway to rectify this problem?

  4. What is the use of this information ?
Do Porter’s follow these charges or provide receipts?
Indian railways should start prepaid Porter services at all key Stations.
