New Nabadwip Dham – Balurghat Express

To enhance the rail connectivity for the people of North Bengal, train services between Nabadwip Dham – Malda Town (train No. 13421/13422) has been extended to run up to Balurghat. The train will run five days a week with new number 13431/13432 Nabadwip Dham – Balurghat- Nabadwip Dham express during its scheduled journey w.e.f. 31-05-2022.

Train No. 13431/13432 Nabadwip Dham – Balurghat – Nabadwip Dham express will run five days a week – o­n Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday leaving Nabadwip Dham at 05-00 hours to reach Balurghat at 12-10 hours and leaving Balurghat at 14-20 hours to reach Nabadwip Dham at 22-00 hours o­n same day. The train will have stoppages at Katwa, Salar, Bazarsau, Khagraghat Road, Azimganj Jn, Jangipur Road, Nimtita, Dhulian Ganga, New Farakka Jn, Malda Town, Gazole, Buniadpur and Gangarampur stations during its both way journey. The train will have ten general second class coaches and two brake cum luggage vans.

Train No. 06223 Shivamogga Town – Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R Chennai Central bi-weekly special express flagged off on 17.04.2022.

Deoghar – Howrah Express

Deoghar – Howrah express from Deoghar station today (13.04.022). The basic objective of the introduction of this train services is to ensure safe and fast connectivity.

Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Nishikant Dubey, Hon’ble Member of Parliament said that Deoghar – Howrah Express will provide better inter-state mobility and cost effective fast transportation facility for the commuters. Since, it is connected with the state capital of West Bengal, it will give impetus for socio-economic development of Deoghar in particular and the state of Jharkhand in general.

Godda – Dumka Express

Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Communication, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India flagged off Godda – Dumka Express (through video conferencing) at Godda Railway station today (9.4.2022) to extend Ranchi-Dumka Express upto Godda.

The keynote of the extension of Ranchi – Dumka Express upto Godda is to provide seamless connectivity and enhanced passenger convenience and also to provide better transportation facility in the state of Jharkhand.

New Dumka – Ranchi Express

Train Nos.13319/13320 New Dumka – Ranchi Express

New Dumka – Ranchi Express (13319/13320) was flagged off by Hon’ble MP Shri Sunil Soren at Dumka Railway station today (3.3.2022). He also spoke o­n the occasion pointing out the basic benefits of introduction of this service.

The key note of extension of Deoghar – Ranchi Express upto Dumka is to provide safe & fast connectivity for the people of Dumka region. It will also provide comfortable journey for the inhabitants of Dumka region as the new train will ensure hassle free voyage between Dumka district and the state capital of Jharkhand.

It will enable easier transport of local merchandise to give boost to local products. It will embolden easier communication between Jharkhand & West Bengal. It will also extend impetus to socio-economic development of Dumka.

The train will stop at Jasidih, Kumrabad Rohini, Sankarpur, Mathurapur, Madhupur, Vidyasagar, Jamtara, Chittaranjan, Kumardubi, Dhanbad, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jn. (Gomoh), Chandrapura, Bokaro Steel City and Muri stations enroute in both the directions.

Gomtinagar – Kamakhya : Trains

To boost the rail connectivity to the Northeast, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology o­n 6th January, 2022 flagged off a special train to run between Gomtinagar in Uttar Pradesh and Kamakhya in Assam. With the running of this train, people will now get direct rail connectivity between Gomtinagar and Kamakhya.

Regular Services

The regular services of train No. 15078/15077 Gomtinagar – Kamakhya – Gomtinagar weekly express has been resumed leaving Gomtinagar w.e.f. 10-01-2022 and leaving Kamakhya w.e.f. 11-01-2022. Train No. 15078 will leave Gomtinagar at 10-00 hours o­n every Monday to reach Kamakhya at 15-30 hours o­n the next day. In return direction, train No. 15077 will leave Kamakhya at 18-30 hours o­n every Tuesday to reach Gomtinagar at 01-40 hours o­n the third day.
Halting
Gorakhpur, Barauni, New Jalpaiguri, New Coochbehar, New Bongaigaon and Goalpara during its both way journey.
Composition
AC- 2 tier, AC- 3 tier, sleeper class and second class coaches for passengers.

Balasore – Bhubaneswar : MEMU Passenger

South Western Railway announced that it has been decided to introduce MEMU Passenger train between Balasore and Bhubaneswar. o­n the inaugural day o­n 07.01.2022, 08411A Balasore-Bhubaneswar MEMU Passenger Special will run as per the following tentative timings:

  • Tran No.08411A Balasore-Bhubaneswar MEMU Passenger will leave Balasore at 12.30 hrs and will reach Bhubaneswar at 16.30 hrs the same day.

NEW CHALISGAON – DHULE : MEMU TRAIN

Central Railway announced that. Shri Raosaheb Dadarao Patil Danve, Hon’ble Minister of State of Railways, Coal & Mines, Government of India will flag off Chalisgaon – Dhule MEMU Train service from Chalisgaon Railway station through Video link at 09.20 am o­n Monday 13.12.2021. The inaugural special will leave Chalisgaon at 09.20 am will arrive Dhule at 10.25 am. In return the inaugural special will leave Dhule at 10.50 am and arrive Chalisgaon at 11.55 hrs. The inaugural specials will run as Train No. 01111/01112 and will halt at all stations in between Chalisgaon and Dhule. Regular MEMU services will pick from Train no. 01313/01314 Chalisgaon – Dhule – Chalisgaon.

Salient features of Chalisgaon – Dhule MEMU Train:

  • The MEMU train has bench-type cushioned seats to enhance ease of journey.
  • Each MEMU coach has been provided with double-leaf sliding doors and LED lighting.
  • Eco-friendly bio toilets have been provided in each MEMU coach.
  • Energy efficient LED light fittings have been provided in each coach.
  • The eight-coach rake has higher acceleration and de-acceleration which saves time.
  • It has energy-efficient electric traction propulsion system.

Detailed Timings of MEMU Services:

  • 01303 MEMU service will leave Chalisgaon at 06.30 hrs every Monday to Saturday and reach Dhule at 07.35 hrs o­n the same day.
  • 01304 MEMU service will leave Dhule at 07.50 hrs every Monday to Saturday and will reach Chalisgaon at 08.55 hrs o­n the same day.
  • 01313 MEMU service will leave Chalisgaon at 17.30 hrs every Monday to Saturday and will reach Dhule at 18.35 hrs o­n the same day.
  • 01314 MEMU service will leave Dhule at 19.20 hrs every Monday to Saturday and reach Chalisgaon at 20.25 hrs o­n the same day.

Background

  • Introduction of trains between Phaltan and Pune via Lonand will help the people of this region in general and agriculturists to reach new markets, students to reach educational institutions of their choice & workers to seek more green pastures in particular.
  • Railways, being the cheapest mode of transport and the direct connectivity between Pune to Phaltan via Lonand will be a boon to the region.
  • Further, residents of Phaltan will get direct passenger train connectivity from Phaltan to Pune & back.

NETAJI EXPRESS 

Ministry of Railways announced via press release on 19.01.2021 that Railway has rechristened the name of Train No. 12311/12312 Howrah-Kalka Mail as “Netaji Express”. It is noteworthy that Howrah -Kalka Mail is a very popular and one of the oldest trains of Indian Railways. The Howrah-Kalka Mail is running between Howrah (Eastern Railway) and Kalka (Northern Railway) via Delhi.

Eight New Trains: 17.01.2021

PM Shri Narendra Modi flagged off 08 new trains connecting different regions of the country to Kevadiya on 17th January 2021 at 11 AM via video conferencing. These trains will facilitate seamless connectivity to the Statue of Unity. The list of trains is the following.
