Mumbai Rain : Train Block : 07.08.2020

Several areas in Mumbai have been flooded after extremely heavy rain in through the night and this morning. The local trains have been stopped in the city and all offices in the city, except emergency services will stay ✅ closed today. Mumbai is in red alert for “extremely heavy rainfall” today and tomorrow. Apart from Mumbai, the alert has been issued for Thane, Pune, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts of Maharashtra.

Konkan Railway

Konkan Railway announced that due to heavy rain in last 24 hrs, tunnel lined wall inside Pernem tunnel at Km 384/6-7 between Madure & Pernem station of Karwar region collapsed at 02:50 hrs on 06th August, 2020. The traffic in this section has been  suspended till further advice. There are no casualties or injuries reported. Konkan Railway officials rushed to the site for early restoration.

Following trains will continue to be diverted to run via Pune-Miraj- Londa up to the dates mentioned against each.

Due to this the following trains are diverted :

  • Train No. 02617 Earnakulam – H. Nizamuddin Super Fast Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via. Madgaon  – Londa – Miraj  – Pune  – Panvel – Kalyan.
  • Train No. 06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via. Madgaon – Londa – Miraj  – Pune  – Panvel .
  • Train No. 02432 New Delhi – Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon.
  • Train No. 02618 H. Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Super Fast Special Express dated 05/08/2020 is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon.
  • Train No. 06345 Lokmanya Tilak (T) –  Thiruvananthapuram Central dated 06/08/2020 is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon.

Diversion of Trains on Konkan Railway route due to heavy rain & collapsing of tunnel lined wall inside Pernem tunnel between Madure and Pernem station.

In continuation to the press release dated 06th August 2020 regarding position of  the trains on Konkan Railway route, the following trains are diverted. Details are as under :

  • Train No. 02617 Ernakulam – H. Nizamuddin Super Fast Special Express is diverted via. Madgaon  – Londa – Miraj – Pune  – Panvel – Kalyan from 06th to 20th August 2020 (15 trips).
  • Train No. 02618 H. Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Super Fast Special Express is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon from 06th to 20th August 2020  (15 trips).
  • Train No. 06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special Express  is diverted via. Madgaon – Londa – Miraj  – Pune  – Panvel from 06th to 20th August 2020 (15 trips).
  • Train No. 06345 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Thiruvananthapuram Central is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon from 07th to 20th August 2020  (14 trips).
  • Train No. 02432 New Delhi – Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Special Express  is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon from 09th to 18th August 2020  (06 trips).
  • Train No. 02431 Thiruvananthapuram Central – New Delhi Rajdhani Special Express  is diverted via. Madgaon – Londa – Miraj  – Pune  – Panvel  from 06th to 20th August 2020 (07 trips).
  • Train No. 02284 H. Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Duranto Special Express is diverted via. Panvel – Pune – Miraj – Londa – Madgaon from 08th to 15th August 2020  (02 trips).
  • Train No. 02283 Ernakulam – H. Nizamuddin Duranto Special Express is diverted via. Madgaon  – Londa – Miraj  – Pune  – Panvel from 11th to 18th August 2020  (02 trips).

Updates

  • Due to heavy rain and water logging, the train services on harbour line between CSMT- Vashi and on Main line between CSMT- Thane have been suspended.
  • Due to water logging in Mumbai division, Train No. 01019 CSMT-BBS special leaving CSMT at 15:05 hrs on 05/08/2020 is RE-SCHEDULED at 20.00 hrs on 05/08/2020 from CSMT
  • Train No.01019 01019 CSMT-Bhubaneshwar Special scheduled to depart at 15.05 hrs on 5.8.2020 is RESCHEDULED to leave at 20.00 hrs on 5.8.2020 due to heavy rains.
  • Train No.01019 CSMT-Bhubaneshwar Special scheduled to depart at 15.05 hrs on 5.8.2020 is RESCHEDULED to leave at 20.00 hrs on 5.8.2020 due to heavy rains.
  • Due to heavy rain and water logging, the train services on Harbour Line between CSMT – Vashi and on Main Line between CSMT – Kurla have been suspended.

Central Railway announced that due to high tide resulting in water logging at Vadala and Parel, Suburban services are suspended on main line and Harbour line. However, shuttle services are running between Vashi and Panvel and Thane and Kalyan – beyond. No suburban trains are held up in between stations. Dn Mail/ express trains are being rescheduled. 

Cancelled

Following trains’ journey commencing on 4.8.2020, have been cancelled due to heavy rains.

  • 01071 LTT-Varanasi special (dep 1240 hrs)
  • 02542 LTT-Gorakhpur special (dep 1110 hrs)
  • 01139 CSMT-Gadag special ( 2120 hrs)

Re-Rescheduled

Following trains which were rescheduled due to heavy rains are RE-RESCHEDULED

  • 01019 CSMT-Bhubaneshwar Special sch dep 15.05 hrs on 4.8.2020 is RESCHEDULED to leave at 18.00 hrs on 4.8.2020 due to heavy rains.
  • 01301 CSMT-KSR Bengaluru special at 16.00 hrs on 4.8.2020
  • 02534 CSMT-Lucknow special at 1615 hrs on 4.8.2020

Western Railway

  • Due to heavy rains strong winds there were few cases of tree/branches hanging over OHE/Tracks between Churchgate – Mumbai Central due to which traffic suspended in this section. Work of clearing in progress at one location. Others cleared.
  • Due to very heavy rains, the special local trains are suspended temporarily between Mumbai Central and Churchgate. Trains are being reversed from Mumbai Central, Dadar, Bandra and Andheri
  • Due to heavy rainfall, all local train services have been temporarily suspended till further orders between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations.
  • Due to technical failure at Churchgate station all local train’s are running late by 15 to 20 minutes between Churchgate and Grant Road stations.

  • Due to high tide & heavy rains resulting in water logging at Dadar & Prabhadevi, special suburban services are being run between Virar-Andheri-Bandra & suspended between Bandra – Churchgate.
