MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: April 14, 2024

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block

CENTRAL LINE

Thane – Kalyan Stations Up and Down Slow Lines (11.00 am – 4.00 pm)

Between 10:43 am and 3:44 pm, Down Slow/Semi-fast services originating from Mulund will be redirected onto the Down Fast line, operating between Mulund and Kalyan stations. These services will stop at Thane, Kalva, Mumbra, Diva, and Dombivali stations, reaching their final destination 10 minutes later than scheduled.

Similarly, from 10:36 am to 3:51 pm, UP Slow/Semi-fast services starting from Kalyan will be diverted onto the UP Fast line, running between Kalyan and Mulund stations. They will make stops at Dombivali, Diva, Mumbra, Kalva, and Thane stations before being further rerouted onto the UP SLOW line at Mulund station, resulting in a 10-minute delay at their destination.

Thane Locals will travel on the DOWN SLOW line, and all UP and DOWN services departing from or arriving at CSMT Mumbai between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm will experience a Ten minute delay.

  • On DOWN SLOW Line
    • Last local before the block will be Titwala Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 09.53 am.
    • First local after the block will be Badlapur Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 03.05 pm.
  • On UP SLOW Line
    • Last local before the block will be Kalyan Local departing Kalyan at 10.25 am.
    • First local after the block will be Parel Local departing Thane at 04.17 pm.

HARBOUR LINE

Kurla – Vashi UP and DOWN Harbour Lines (11.10 am – 4.10 pm)

  • DOWN HARBOUR line services from CSMT Mumbai to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi scheduled between 10:34 am and 3:36 pm, as well as UP HARBOUR line services towards CSMT Mumbai from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi between 10:16 am and 3:47 pm, will be canceled.
  • To accommodate passengers during this time, special suburban trains will operate on the CSMT Mumbai – Kurla and Panvel – Vashi sections.
  • Passengers traveling on the HARBOUR line are allowed to commute between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during the affected period.
  • On DOWN HARBOUR Line
    • Last local before the block will be Panvel Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 10.18 am.
    • First local after the block will be Panvel Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 3.44 pm.
  • On UP HARBOUR Line
    • Last local before the block for CSMT Mumbai will be departing Panvel at 10.05 am.
    • First local after the block for CSMT Mumbai will be departing Panvel at 3.45 pm.

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

WESTERN LINE

Borivali – Goregaon UP and DOWN Fast (10.00 am – 03.00 pm)

  • Maintenance work on tracks, signaling, and overhead equipment necessitates a five-hour Jumbo Block from 10:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs between Borivali and Goregaon on Sunday, 14th April, 2024.
  • During this block period, all UP and DOWN Fast line trains will be diverted to the UP and DOWN Slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon Stations.
  • Consequently, several UP and DOWN suburban services will be canceled.
  • Additionally, some trains originating from Borivali and Andheri will terminate at Goregaon on the Harbour line.

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
