IRCTC Direct Payment Gateway:: Rolling Deposit Scheme

IRCTC introduced another payment option for ✅ Faster online ticket booking. This time IRCTC going to introduce own payment option that allows faster money transactions via Online IRCTC ticket booking. The new payment option is known as a rolling deposit scheme (RDS) .

This can be working in such a way that User initially need to deposit dominant amount of money to the IRCTC and while booking the IRCTC Online ticket can able to choose the RDS payment option to pay money. IRCTC proposed RDS having one-time registration fee around Rs 200-250 and a minimum deposit of around Rs 1,500-2,000 for the service. IRCTC RDS can be re-charge or top-up online via any of the payment options. By the help of RDS payment option, we can save lots of time during the online ticket booking. RDS having no bank transaction fee too.  

Important Aspects of Rolling deposit scheme (RDS)

  • Easy refund: In case of ticket cancellation, the refund will be credited to the user’s RDS account the next day
  • User authentication: Users of the rolling deposit scheme (RDS) will be verified and authenticated through online PAN card number verification
  • Complete history: Users will be able to check RDS transaction/payment history. They can also change the transaction password as and when required
  • Secure access: Users will have to provide transaction passwords/ PIN numbers for every booking done through RDS

  1. but why is this Rs:250 non refundable deposit being charged to customer. This is very idiotic idea. Who will pay Rs:250 from pocket without getting any benefit. At least I'am not going to register for e-wallet because of Rs:250.
