Compulsory 35 Seconds Wait to Book Ticket: IRCTC Website

From now onwards we have to wait for ✅ 35 seconds to book ticket while online through IRCTC (The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) Website. So it is not possible to book the ticket before 35 seconds after login the website for booking the tickets. This new method is to prevent mass booking by some fraud agencies. Following are the details regarding the method to prevent IRCTC website misuse.

Some are using certain automated software to book tickets within seconds and therefore the needy ones are not getting the tickets at the proper time. It is a part of security measures taken by Railway to prevent manipulation of the IRCTC Website.   Earlier, 10 seconds was the minimum waiting time for booking online train tickets. There was more chance for cyber misuse. 35 seconds is the minimum to fill the booking form followed by bank transaction online. If the mandatory time is more than this, then there will be a long queue and it will affect the whole booking system because there will be a great delay for booking.  

Users need to enter CAPTCHA – a number series for distinguishing between human and computer thrice now. This will be needed at the login, reservation and payment stages.   Now more and more people prefer online ticket booking method rather than Counter Ticket Booking from the stations. Online ticket booking is more convenient and time saving one. IRCTC is taking various steps to safeguard the interests of users of the website like Only two Tatkal tickets for the single user ID in opening Tatkal in 10 – 12 hours period, Maximum 10 tickets in a month to a user. Only one Tatkal ticket in a single session ( except return journey), Only two opening Tatkal tickets per IP address, OTP (One time password) is mandatory for net banking payment options. This has been confirmed by all Indian Banks to IRCTC. Time check delays in passenger information filling, Captcha and bank payment.   The passengers can book the Railway tickets through online from 00.20 hrs to 23.45 hrs.
