Extension of existing scheme of granting 5% of recharge value at the time of recharge of R-Wallet in case of Unreserved Ticket booking through mobile phone

Western Railway announced that as an incentive to promote mobile ticketing, Western Railway had announced a bonus of 5% for every recharge to the R-Wallet which was valid upto 24th February, 2019. Now, W. Rly has decided to extend this facility for a further period of six months, i.e upto 24th August 2019.

Central Railway also announced on 05.03.2019 that Railways have decided to extend the existing scheme of granting bonus of 5% of the recharge value at the time of recharge of R-Wallet in case of Unreserved Ticket Booking through mobile phone for another period of six months i.e. up to 24.8.2019.

Indian Railway Passengers can now book tickets using mVisa payment option which allows them to scan a quick response (QR) code and pay through smartphones.The process of booking tickets is relatively simple. Users can securely link their Visa debit, credit or prepaid account to the mVisa application on their smartphones and make their bookings by scanning their mVisa QR code on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation website.In addition to e-payment, IRCTC, which is a subsidiary of the Indian Railways is offering a promotional offer until September 4 that will give Rs 50 cashback to customers booking their tickets through mVisa option.The increasing popularity of mobile devices presents a huge opportunity for the growth of mobile-based digital commerce. The mVisa payment solution on IRCTC will allow consumers across Indian cities, towns and villages, to make payments using just their smartphones
