Indian Railway announced Catering Complaint Toll Free No. and E-Mail ID for lodging complaint regarding Catering and services.Following are the links according to the Railway zones.



  1. on 04 Mar 2018 while travelling by Ashram Express from delhi to Ahmedabad vide seat No. 10,13 &16 of S8 had to buy food. The vendor named M/s Balaji F &B (I) Pvt Ltd charged per packed plate at Rs 110/- abd issued bill on demand. Whikle taking e-tickets IRCTC is disclosing the food price list which is at variance with the price charged. Thus, situation with such services on rail through IRCTC is just uncontrolled and vendor
    very much boldly at liberty to charge over and above what IRCTC prescribes. Bill is held with me if required..

    I request three times to delivery boy for fast cooling but he is not paying attention, and say if you have problem you complain in IRCTC.

  3. i recently traveled from train no. 02504 New Delhi- Kamakhya special Premium train, and the food was worse than anyone can imagine. the roties were hard as rock and the menu was same for both lunch and dinner. my journey was for 24hrs and it was terrible. the government should take matters in their own hand now. i normal passenger can't travel in a train for such a long time with bad food. On top of that, no major stations passed in between as to we could buy something. The state of railway's food is truly depressing.

  4. I am having one user ID – btjoel for booking IRCTC tickets.

    Yesterday I booked one ticket and the PNR no I got SMS as 8624713277 and train no.12701 dt of journey is 21.6.2014

    The said booked ticket entry is not appearing in my booked tickets history.

  5. Dear Sir/ Madam
    Right now we are traveling in train No. 02842 Chennai to Howrah summer special train. We are having complained against for the train catering service….
    1) First of all the food quantity is so poor that two year child can’t full feel their stomach demands, then what about the adult?
    2) Second think about quality of the food. On last night (3/5/14) dinner was so horrible, Chapatti are not cooked well & rice quantity so poor without chapatti no one can’t full feel there stomach demand also smell came from chicken curry.
    3) Even the vegetarian passengers were complaining about poor quality of panner and dal. In fact the yellow dal was like glue and the panner was like rubber. We could never believe if human being can eat such a food.
    After spending so much more money than Rajdhani class train no satisfaction are come.
    We request you please take care of the matter very urgent basis & settle compensate for that kind service.
    We are strongly complaining against the catering services of the train.

  6. I travelled by Shatabdi Express from NDLS to BPL in Train 12002, PNR No. 2453565477. The FOOD was not eatable. ROTI was not properly cooked and services were Worst. We never faced such in Shatabdi ever.

  7. I travelled by duronto from delhi to mumbai my pnr no is 2452586907. The rice was undercooked and the paneer gravy was not tasting good.
