  • 'Bulb Line’ near Railway station : The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to prevail upon the Visakhapatnam Port Trust to part with land required to construct a ‘bulb line’ elevated corridor near Visakhapatnam Railway station.
  • Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will lay the foundation stone for the Rolling Stock Component factory, estimated to cost nearly Rs 300 crore, in Maharshtra’s Ratnagiri district.
  • China Railway Rolling Stock Corp (CRRC), the country’s largest railway vehicle and equipment manufacturer, is in takeover talks with Czech Republic’s Skoda Transportation AS, a move to further increase its market share in Europe’s railway markets.
  • SCR hosts Biodiesel Online Blending Facility and Water Recycling Plant.
  • ReNew Power Ventures, a renewable energy development company, won bids for 5 MW solar installations across various locations for the Indian Railways.
  • Railways Introduces Third Gender Column in its Reservation Forms.

  • Afghanistan and Turkmenistan inaugurate Asian International Railway line

  • Western Railways likely to introduce high quality German-made Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches in Avantika Express.
  • Mumbai: Harbour Line to get 13 new, 12-coach trains in 2017.
  • Wi-Fi power to 8 suburban stations in Mumbai.
  • Railway Minster laid foundation stone for doubling of Haridwar - Laksar Section and 8 Limited Height Subways between Haridwar - Laksar Rail Section and laid foundation stone of Mechanized Laundry and Second Coach Maintenance Pit at Lalkuan Railway station. Laid foundation stone of 2 Lifts and 2 Escalators at Dehradun Railway Station and 4 Lifts and 6 Escalators at Haridwar Railway Stations. 
  • Dedicated to the nation of Electrification of Haridwar-Dehradun section.
  • Inaugurated upgraded passenger amenities works at Kathgodam,Haldwani,Rudrapur city and Lalkuan and inaugurated Hempur Ismail new 3-line Station and Private freight terminal at Kashipur. 
  • AC Waiting Room opened at Ernakulam Town station ; Efforts on to launch eatery that will be operated by Kudumbasree.

No doubt that Railway is a fast developing public sector in India. Every day Indian Railway is growing. Now a day’s New Technology, New methods,  new extra added services etc become a part of Railways. There are 16 Railway Zones and 8 operational Metro systems in India. Railway zones are, Northern Railway, North Eastern Railway, Northeast Frontier Railway, Eastern Railway, South Eastern Railway, South Central Railway, Southern Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway, South Western Railway, North Western Railway, West Central Railway, North Central Railway, South East Central Railway, East Coast Railway,  East Central Railway.  Konkan Railway is also a part of this.  The Metro Rails are Kolkata Metro in Kolkata, Chennai MRTS in Chennai, Delhi Metro in Delhi NCR, Namma Metro in Bangalore, Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon in Gurgaon, Mumbai Metro in Mumbai, Jaipur Metro in Jaipur and Chennai Metro in Chennai.  So Every day major and minor changes and development happened in each and every Metro and Railway Zones.
