Western railways announced that on going work of extension of harbour line from Andheri to Goregaon by MRVC, it has been decided to close platform no 1 ( west side ) at Jogeshwari railway station from 21 hrs of Friday, 21st March,2014 for 20 days for widening of the platform no. 1/2.
At present platform no 1 at Jogeshwari has the facility of alighting/boarding the train from both sides i.e. east and west side. After the closure of west side of platform no 1 , the passengers of down slow trains towards Borivali / Virar  can board and alight the train at east side of platform no 1 at Jogeshwari station. The work will be undertaken with minimum affect on train services . During the block,  platform no 1/2 will be widened. It is six meter wide at present which will be made eight meter wide.
