Southern railways announced that will convert the Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Duronto Express to AC Super fast Express, with Rajdhani Fares, with effect from 22.11.2013.  Following are the details

  • Train No.22207 / 22208 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central Duronto Express trains (Bi-weekly) will be converted to run as AC Super fast Express trains, with Rajdhani Fares, with effect from 22.11.2013, with stoppages at Ernakulam Jn. and KollamTrain No.22207 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram AC Super fast Express (Bi-weekly) will leave Chennai Central at 16.30 hrs., leave Ernakulam Jn. at 01.55 hrs., leave Kollam at 04.02 hrs., and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 05.45 hrs. the next day.  In the return direction, Train No. 22208 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central AC Super fast Express (Bi-weekly) will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 21.30 hrs., leave Kollam at 22.27 hrs., leave Ernakulam Jn. at 00.45 hrs., and arrive Chennai Central at 10.30 hrs. the next day.

  1. ( 1 ) Run the train on daily. ( 2) Provide stop at PALAKKAD also. ( 3 ) Change the departure timings to 9.30pm or afterwards for the convenience of the traveling public..
    ( 4 ) Request to Re-introduce the Super fast train which was earlier running in between Chennai Central-Palakkad Junction and back.
